ON THE NOV. 18 INCONCLUSIVE BSE TEST
Cattle Industry Awaits Mad Cow Test (11/23, Reuters)
The $32 billion American cattle industry, on alert for five days
over a possible second U.S. case of mad cow disease, was hoping for
a government determination on Tuesday on whether the suspect animal
was infected. The animal produced two "inconclusive" results in
screening tests for mad cow disease last Thursday, and the U.S.
Agriculture Department has yet to complete confirmatory tests.
